But the two must use their abilities to protect their town from a vengeful ghost who has magical creations of his own, made from macabre musical melodies.

Hannah’s first novel for middle-grade readers, HORUS AND THE CURSE OF EVERLASTING REGRET, is set in the 1930s and brings two kids, a spunky pet bat, and a cursed child mummy together to find a kidnapped girl who vanished while visiting an Ancient Egypt museum exhibit.

Hannah Voskuil’s short fiction appears in Pearson Education’s Writing Fiction: A Guide to Narrative Craft, 8th Ed.; in Sudden Flash Youth, published by Perseus Books; in the Norton college textbook of short fiction, The Seagull Reader, 2nd. Ed.; in the Norton anthology Flash Fiction Forward, as well as in such literary magazines  as Quarterly West and the South Dakota Review. She earned a B.A. in English Literature and German from Middlebury College and an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College.
