Garrett in WedlockA graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Paul Mandelbaum is the author of two novels-in-stories: GARRETT IN WEDLOCK, winner of the Baltimore Book Festival Literary Award for fiction, and ADRIANE ON THE EDGE. His work has appeared in many magazines including The New York Times Magazine, Glimmer Train, Prairie Schooner, Colorado Review, Doubletake, Harvard Review, The Massachusetts Review, New England Review, The Southern Review, and The Barcelona Review and received grants from the Ohio and California state arts councils and the James Michener/Copernicus Society of America.

Adriane on the EdgeFormerly an award-winning journalist as well as managing editor of the National Magazine Award-winning quarterly Story, Paul has also edited two literary anthologies: FIRST WORDS: Earliest Writing from Favorite Contemporary Authors (Algonquin, 1993), and 12 SHORT STORIES AND THEIR MAKING (Persea, 2005).
